I was terrified of going out to dinner

Real talk, here. I love to go out to eat! In November 2015, I was at a crossroads and wanted change so badly that I was willing to eat cardboard to get it (luckily, I didn’t have to do that!) Needless to say, I was  prepared to give restaurant eating up if it meant feeling better and losing weight. Guess what: I didn’t have to do that, either!

However, I did avoid dining out for at least 6 weeks when I kicked off my journey to a healthy lifestyle. I chose to do that because I was terrified that I’d succumb to temptation and ruin all my hard work and be unable to recover. I didn’t have much faith in myself back then.

One day, my husband unwittingly issued a challenge. “It’s too bad we can’t go out to eat because of that program you’re doing.” The gauntlet had been thrown. “I can go out to eat. Let’s do it.” And so we did! I stayed true to my program “out in the wild” and…SHOCKER…I enjoyed myself! Whoa. This was different.

All these years later, I still remember that first step to LIVING this program and making it work for me rather than simply trying to stick to it. It was crucial.

I hope you’ll join me on August 4th for this free event with Healthy Dining Out Tips that apply to EVERYONE – not just clients of my program. Why not invite your favorite dining out buddies! Bringing friends along is one of the best ways to support your own ongoing health journey.
